Building on the core technology of the flagship Zetasizer Nano range, Malvern Panalytical’s next generation incorporates enhanced measurement capabilities.
DCA worked with Malvern Panalytical to create the new form, incorporating the highest quality materials and refined interface. This new form was guided by the Visual Brand Language (VBL) we created for Malvern while also focussing on the needs of users and stakeholders to help deliver accurate measurements and analysis.
This 3D VBL was a strategic tool that guided but did not dictate how the Malvern brand values and product messages can be expressed through a three-dimensional form using tangible design cues.
The resulting design is not only proving to be a success for Malvern Panalytical it was awarded a 2018 Red Dot and a Good Design Award.
Zetasizer Ultra and Zetasizer Pro fascinate with their sculptural look of puristic elegance, which does not distract from their intuitive use

An engineered experience
A focus for DCA was the design and engineering of the key user interaction point for the instrument, the sample measurement ‘basin’. Engineered to create a premium, high quality feel to the mechanism to add a sense of delight and theatre to the experience.
