Zelp named as winner of the Terra Carta Design Lab award
We are pleased to congratulate Zelp for being named as one of the four winners of HRH The Prince of Wales and Sir Jony Ive’s inaugural Terra Carta Design Lab in conjunction with the Royal College of Art, which recognises innovative design solutions to the climate crisis.
The competition saw current and former students of London’s Royal College of Art produce credible and sustainable solutions to the climate crisis. From 125 submissions four were selected, each winning £50,000 in funding alongside personal mentorship from Sir Ive, former Chief Design Officer at Apple.
‘All the Terra Carta Design Lab winners have ideas and designs that deserve to be developed,” said Ive. “The ingenuity and determination of these designers have produced some extraordinary creative responses, and they now embark on the journey to turn these great ideas into practical solutions.”
DCA continues to support Zelp on that journey to develop their innovative wearable technology for cattle into a practical solution. Together we are looking to dramatically reduce the amount of greenhouse gas that is output by cattle.
