Pharmapack 2017
Once again DCA will be exhibiting at Pharmapack, Paris Expo, Porte de Versailles, Hall 41st – 2nd February 2017Stand no: H50
In its 20th Anniversary year PHARMAPACK is the European event for Pharmaceutical Packaging, Drug Delivery, Medical Devices and Machinery, helping the industry stay up to date on the latest trends, developments and regulations.
Welcoming 3,409 visitors, 387 international exhibitors and more than 300 conference delegates Pharmapack will see two days of industry excellence and innovation for product design and packaging, featuring an International Meetings Programme, full 2-day Conference, 1-day Symposium, Workshops, Learning Lab presentations, Awards ceremonies, Innovation Gallery and Tours.
DCA are also pleased to be presenting not only one, but two papers at the Pharmapack Conference:
Day 1, 14:15 - Why we need to think differently about connectivity.
- Connected pharmaceutical devices face very different challenges to consumer products.
- Safe and efficacious use must be demonstrated before medical devices can be launched; a “beta release” or “trial and error” approach to development is not appropriate here.
- Product development and usage lifecycles are also typically much longer, preventing frequent changes in communication technology.
- Security concerns are different due to the highly personal nature of the data and potential safety risks.
- This paper will discuss a structured approach for considering stakeholder needs and the challenges of translating these into robust connected solutions.
Day 2, 11:15 - Applying the latest developments in virtual prototyping to maximise success in drug delivery device development.
- The availability of more powerful computers has predicated the development of increasingly sophisticated product design and engineering software.
- This trend has led to a drive to replace conventional development techniques with computer simulations.
- This presentation will consider the latest advances in computational product development tools and discuss how they should be deployed alongside traditional physical prototyping and testing techniques to develop more robust drug delivery devices, more efficiently.
We very much look forward to seeing you at the show.
